- Combine the masa and water to make a smooth dough.
- Roll into a log about 5cm diameter (2 inches).
- Cut the log into 1cm slices (half an inch)
- Roll each slice out thinly
- Cook the tortillas in a heavy based, dry pan (no oil) over medium heat until lightly browned and cooked through. You’ll notice them change colour as they cook.
- Wrap them in a tea towel as they are cooked to keep them warm and soft until serving.
