Ingredients
- 1 400g tin chick peas (garbanzo beans)
- 1/2 lemon juiced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp ground coriander
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1 pinch pepper
- 2 tsp pine nuts optional

Instructions
- Blitz all ingredients together in a food processor or blender until smooth. (Or you can mash it with a fork for a chunkier texture)
- Garnish with pine nuts if desired.
Oooo so good! Can’t believe I’ve been buying hummus from the store! I also tried this with cannelini beans which the kids also enjoyed
That’s a great idea to use cannellini beans as an alternative! You can also flavour your hummus easily too. Grilled capsicums are lovely, as are sun dried tomatoes, or my kids’ favourite is a pesto version where you add in some basil, pine nuts and nutritional yeast flakes.
